My Story
22 Years of Showing Up for Families
This is the short story behind Mrs. Nicole The Nanny.
"I didn't fall into childcare — my love for it started at 16, working alongside my big sister in daycare. After becoming a mother at 19, I began caring for children in my neighborhood and eventually opened my own daycare. Over the past 22 years, I have helped children and families with routines, discipline, emotional development, and healthy living. I also ran a sugar-free and organic program and saw firsthand how healthier choices could help children become calmer, more focused, and more attentive. More than anything, I want children to feel safe, loved, heard, and free to be themselves."
My Philosophy
I believe children thrive when they feel safe, loved, heard, and free to be themselves. I believe in structure, consistency, healthy routines, and clear boundaries, while still giving children space to express their feelings. Faith has always been at the center of how I show up — I served as a youth pastor for 10 years and ran a faith-based childcare program, and that foundation of love, purpose, and service carries into everything I do for families. I also believe in working closely with parents and being part of a home where we can communicate openly, work as a team, and where I can be myself too. The best care happens when the child, the parents, and the caregiver all feel comfortable, respected, and supported.

A Little More About Me
I don't just bring structure and expertise — I bring joy. You'll find me in the kitchen with my little portable boombox, jamming with the kiddos, making up silly nursery rhymes, and dancing like nobody's watching. I have a big imagination and I love to sing, play, and make everyday moments feel magical. I also love to bake fresh bread, make homemade granola and yogurt, and get the kids involved in the kitchen too. When children feel the fun and the love alongside the routine, that's where the real magic happens.
